Somewhere around Auckland
Here is a quick question. What do Paul & Shirley and Peter & Val all have in common? The two couples have fabulous homes and like being kind to utter strangers who shamelessly sponge off of them. They are also very experienced world travellers with Peter in particular having any number of photos that could easily grace the pages of National Geographic.
With Paul & Shirley we were actually scheduled for lunch. With Peter and Val we were scheduled for coffee which then turned into drinks which turned into a “light” dinner with only seven or eight courses.
By now, Lana and I are feeling not only guilty about all of the hospitality but also much larger then before.
Did get in touch with our two kids a day ahead of time. Nice having the new year come in 18 ahead of everyone back home.
